Noah and the Snakes
After the flood, Noah was watching the animals leave the ark two-by-two, and as each passed, he said to them, "Go, be fruitful and multiply". When he said this to a pair of snakes, the replied "We can't - we're adders". And slithered away.
Some time later, as Noah was walking around, he came across the two snakes, and they had with them a brood of young snakes. Noah said "Hey, I thought you said you adders and couldn't multipy!"
"That's right," replied one of the snakes - "but we found a couple of logs!"
